I am apart of both the LGBT and the Black community.
Both communities are either misrepresented or not fully understood. I have written a book about my experience as a black gay man in America and what it was like living in the south, having to hide who I was for years on end.
I didn't truly live as who I truly was until I was 19 and moved to Chicago. Yet, I am still feeling secluded, unwanted, or misunderstood.
